On the 19th + 20th March, we hosted our first Curated Makers Market of the year! It felt great to dust off the cobwebs and get our stalls back where they belong. Each day within the heart of Trinity Leeds, we were joined by seven small, local businesses as they showcased their handmade products and gifts.
As our first market since trialling the concept in John Lewis last year, we were nervous and excited to be launching the markets again. And we couldn't have asked for a better result! The buzzing centre was the perfect location, and our lovely line-up was the perfect hub to find unique Mother's day treats! The weekend saw a wide range of makers from chocolatiers to jewellery makers, illustrators to florists, pop up and showcase what local businesses have to offer!
We were blown away by the response! The makers were a joy to represent, customers were delighted with this addition to Leeds City centre and Trinity Leeds were the perfect host. Markets require a huge logistics operation, but to see the smiles on people’s faces, makers selling and interacting, customers happy shopping and mingling, makes it all worthwhile. This was a great example of how market organisers and venues can collaborate to bring big opportunities to small businesses.
And of course, let’s not forget these stunning pictures of the market captured by our dear friend @clickedbykate. We are very grateful to capture these special moments, interactions and the setup.
We are so excited to announce that the market will be returning to Trinity Leeds on the 23rd and 24th April.
Applications are open if you would to be a part of the next market. Fill out one of our application forms, here, to register your interest!
Don't forget, our Curated Makers shop is still OPEN in Trinity Leeds too, so if you missed the market, you can still shop small 7 days a week! Find us on the Ground Floor, opposite Moss Bros and next door to Miniso.
See you soon!
