Stock Assistant

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Stock Assistant will ensure the smooth running of our Curated Makers Pop-Up within RHS. This role is essential in ensuring our concession is always fully stocked and looks visually appealing. Working independently onsite, this role is suited to an individual who has attention to detail, enjoys organisation, takes pride in maintaining a clean and tidy store environment, acts professionally and contributes towards a welcoming shopping environment.

You will work closely with HQ to deliver tasks asked of you, to support the maker range and product curation. As well as feeding back observations and raising if further support is needed. This is a collaborative role, working within a very small business team and will be flexible and open to change as the concession develops.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Processing & Replenishment

• Assist with stock deliveries, by accurately counting and recording stock levels.

• Replenish shelves efficiently to ensure products are always available.

• Keep the shop floor and stockroom organised and tidy.

• Ensure items are stored correctly in the stockroom to optimise space.

• Fix any barcoding or labelling issues using the barcode machine process.

Visual Merchandising

• Maintain displays in line with company guidelines.

• Ensure products are well-presented, correctly labelled and shoppable.

• Monitor stock levels on display and replenish where necessary.

• Keep VM documents up to date.

• Support seasonal changes by updating displays as required.

Maintenance & Reporting

• Maintain a clean and tidy shop floor, including shelves and displays.

• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages or any store issues to HQ.

• Update log at the end of each visit to keep track of visits.

• Follow all H&S procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Customer Service & Engagement

• Provide a friendly and helpful experience for customers and the RHS team.

• Demonstrate a professional attitude and excellent product knowledge.

• Act as a brand ambassador by upholding company standards and values.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if required.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Freelance friendly role. Variable between 6-12 hours per week depending on peak/non-peak.
