Seasonal Sales Assistant
Edinburgh, City Centre Location
ROLE OVERVIEW

Our Sales Assistants are at the heart of delivering exceptional customer experiences while championing the ethos of shopping small. We are looking for individuals who exude positivity, enjoy engaging with customers, and take pride in showcasing our unique, locally made products.
As a Sales Assistant, you will provide a welcoming and memorable shopping experience, actively engaging with customers to understand their needs and share the stories behind our makers and their products. You will also play a key role in keeping the store well-stocked, visually appealing, and operating smoothly. As a brand ambassador for Curated Makers, you will embody our 'Think Big, Shop Small' values, creating a positive and inspiring retail environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement & Sales

  • Welcome customers warmly, creating an inviting and enjoyable shopping experience.

  • Share in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed choices.

  • Assist with gifting recommendations and upselling where appropriate.

  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the stories of our makers and their products.

  • Ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression of our brand.

Stock & Visual Merchandising

  • Maintain a well-stocked store by replenishing shelves efficiently.

  • Ensure all products are well-presented, correctly labelled, and easy to shop.

  • Maintain the store’s visual merchandising in line with company guidelines.

  • Keep the stockroom organised and tidy to optimise space and efficiency.

Store Maintenance & Operations

  • Keep the store clean, tidy, and inviting at all times.

  • Process transactions accurately, ensuring a seamless checkout experience.

  • Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve issues promptly.

  • Adapt to the needs of a growing business, problem-solving and taking initiative when required.

  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and business knowledge.
