'INNOVATE UK' AWARD OPPORTUNITY

Updated: Jan 30

Hello, Megan here! I've got a special award to tell you about, as I have benefited massively from being a part of this award so I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by to let you know the next round of applications is coming soon!!

Curated Makers and I personally, have both benefited from the support and funding of the Innovate UK and KTN, Ideas Mean Business campaign and the Young Innovators fund.

They're now on the look out for even more 18-30 year olds to submit their innovative ideas to change the future of the business landscape.

If this is you...what have you got to lose? If you know someone, let them know and forward this blog on to them, to encourage them to apply!

Even going through the application process allows you to focus your thoughts, streamline your idea and to express what it is you want to achieve. The first time I applied back in 2018, I was not successful, then I reapplied in 2019 and got the £5k grant! Along with a living allowance so you can focus time on your budding idea or project, as well as a mentor to help guide you through the years programme and access to an innovative group of other young entrepreneurs!

I want to say that you just never know what this opportunity could unlock for you. It's more than just money! The support, connections, community is all invaluable...I wish you the best of luck if you explore this opportunity.

Want to know more? Head over to the information session that will be hosted on 14th June at 10-12pm and you can sign up to that here

Then, the awards will be open from 13th June to 27th July 2022. Up to 100 winning young entrepreneurs will be supported for 12 months, with individuals benefiting from a £5,000 grant, one-on-one business support, and a contribution to living costs so you can turn your idea into a business reality.
