RETAIL TEAM LEADER
ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Team Leader, your primary focus will be to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll lead and inspire a team to create memorable interactions, with your commitment to outstanding service driving business growth. Attention to detail is crucial as you'll manage team scheduling, maintain the store's unique aesthetic, and oversee incoming and outgoing stock from 50+ makers. You'll serve as an ambassador for Curated Makers and the numerous small creative businesses we support, embodying our "think big, shop small" ethos to customers. Building strong connections within the local community and business network will also be essential.

THE RIGHT FIT
  • A passionate individual, who is experienced in delivering exceptional customer service and sharing the stories behind our products. Industry doesn’t matter, as long as your customer skills and communication style is people centric!

  • Experience in leadership, including performance management, reporting and upholding standards.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Positive attitude, solutions-oriented mindset, and ability to embrace challenges.

  • Kindness goes a long way!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and develop a customer-centric shop floor team through training, feedback, and leading by example.

  • Maintain a visually appealing store with effective merchandising, high cleanliness standards, and robust stock management.

  • Manage team schedules and serve as a point of contact for emergencies.

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels through efficient management practices.

  • Maintain an organised back-of-house area to maximise productivity.

  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.

  • Collaborate with HQ on marketing initiatives and events to increase store sales, traffic and brand awareness.

  • Report store activity, performance, and trends to HQ.

  • Adapt to the flexible needs of a growing business and solve problems proactively.

  • Liaise with third parties and contractors to maintain the store.

  • Create a shopping experience that delights customers and inspires your team.

SHOP FLOOR ASSISTANT
ROLE OVERVIEW

Our Sales Assistants are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and promoting the ethos of shopping small. We're seeking individuals who exude positivity and enthusiasm, eager to showcase our unique products and create memorable in-store experiences for shoppers.
Beyond simply assisting customers, you'll actively engage with them, asking insightful questions to understand their needs and sharing details about our products’ makers, materials, and processes. As ambassadors for Curated Makers and the small creative businesses we support, you'll embody our 'think big, shop small' values.

THE RIGHT FIT

For this role, genuine passion for exceptional customer service is crucial. You'll be the beacon of positivity, sharing the human stories behind our products to create memorable experiences that positively influence shopping habits.

Strong communication skills are a must, whether conveying makers' stories to customers or maintaining clear, respectful communication within your team. Collaboration with your Team Leader and active engagement in feedback sessions will drive team and business growth.
